It’s a form of paralysis, in which there is a decrease or loss of mobility and sensation below the spinal cord injury level with affected bladder and bowel control. The extent of symptoms would depend on the type and level of injury. The patient would have difficulty in moving arm or leg or both, tingling and numbness in the limbs involved, difficulty in breathing, and sexual dysfunction.
